Ashover Cricket Club is a long established Village Club with a history dating back to 1874. The club started off playing only Friendly cricket which it continued to do until it moved into League Cricket in 1980, still only having one team. The Club then progressed to having 2 teams that played League Cricket on a Saturday and 1 that played Friendlies on a Sunday.
We now have 2 League sides on a Saturday, the 1st X1 playing in Div 4n of the Derbyshire County Cricket League & the 2nd X1 playing in Div 6n. We also have 2 teams playing in the Mansfield & District Sunday League, one in the Premier Division & the other in Division 4.
We also have a very large Junior section with teams playing in the Notts & Derby Border Youth League at U11, U12, U13 & U15, plus we have our own Kwik Cricket competition that attracts over 100 U10's to our ground between May & July
We are always on the look out for New Members, so if you would like to play cricket at one of the most picturesque grounds in North East Derbyshire then please contact one of our officials and you will be made most welcome.
